Griffin Mountain, part Four (Session Zero, again?).
Our game is on an alternating week schedule, and this was our off week. I was delighted to see our final party member land in the Discord. We were joined by two other group members who saw our activity. We covered the new person's Lines, Veils, and X-Card. We had a discussion with feedback from me regarding talking over people. A new idea to our small group discussion was adding the idea of a party caller. We had a person new to TTRPGs with us, and I also wanted a clearer definition of the caller's role for others who were not present. As the role was presented to me; "A caller is basically someone who gets a consensus from the group on what to do and understands the SOPs of the party for normal adventuring stuff to convey decisions to the GM." A person volunteered for the role, and I asked that we wait for more of the group to discuss assigning it. We shelved the caller role assignment. Summary; I'm falling more in love with the idea of a session Zero and now with the idea of party caller, these are great players. Shout out to all the players, and to one for the party caller idea.
