The first Griffin Mountain game,(2003-4?). An overview.
Griffin Mountain has been a beloved Campaign setting by me for many years.
I purchased my first copy of Griffin Mountain (for Runequest 2nd ed.) in early 2003, while I was at a low point in my life.
It was the Gloranthan Classics (II) volume (available now in PDF form from Chaosium Inc. both on their website and Drivethrurpg).
I browsed it constantly to escape, but I didn't GM/DM (Game Master/Dungeon Master) a game until months later.
I only had a two main players T. and F., I had found them back in the IRL days because of signs they had posted at a FLGS (Friendly local gaming store).
I had recruited them for another game that we dissolved.
I basically used ideas that had been chasing around my head since I read the Runequest 3rd ed. box set for Glorantha (Avalon Hill).
I stole ideas from movies and Television shows that I had been watching.
We probably only played about six sessions before I ended the plot, but it was fun.
I'm leaving out the details of this game because I may very well re-use sections of it.
Shout out to Jenx, Gin, Justin, R.A., Havoc, Oldhawkeyes, everyone at the Rainbow OSR, T and F, all my current crop of Players, and everyone who has been so encouraging.
