Griffin Mountain; part Two (2026).
Between 2004, and up till March 2026 I gamed sporadically only as a player. Somewhere in February 2026 I decided that GM/DM-ing (Game Mastering/Dungeon Mastering) a game was something I wanted to do. I got a bit of solid, sound advice from online gamers (you know who you are) at the Rainbow OSR server. I was thinking of running a Runequest game, thank goodness some folks convinced me to use OpenQuest rpg (available from D101 games on OpenQuest.com, or on Drivethrurpg.com). I got the Quickstart free on Drivethrurpg.com, and I read through it. After spending some time reading the Quickstart OpenQuest rpg I decided I wanted the physical book so I got a used copy, and the free SRD for OpenQuest rpg. I decided after some thought to go with the Classic Runequest Setting book, Griffin Mountain for my games. There were a lot of people right off the bat who were interested in joining a game. Shoutout to my Sister for encouraging me to follow my passions.
