Notes on an Undead Game (Part three of a game that failed).
So now I had one player for RQ Classic, and the next day a second fellow asked to join. Shortly thereafter he asked if he could invite his friend to the Game. So all of a sudden I had three players for RQ Classic (my limit was going to be four)! This was awesome. Until we tried out the online Character sheets for RQ Classic, and they weren't working. So we finally opted to go to a fully supported version on Roll20 for the New Runequest Glorantha (RQG). Slowly, and with great agony I felt an increasing sense of dread around RQG. I thought I just kind of would get over that, but I felt worse every day I had to deal with it. Finally I noticed I was having anxiety anytime I thought about the game. So I did the reasonable thing, I dropped it like a Hot Coal! I decided I'm an Openquest guy at heart. I can add RQ Classic bits to Openquest without breaking it, but the reverse is not true. I will probably lose all my RQ Classic/RQG players, and that's Okay by me because I'll feel good. If gaming doesn't bring joy at the end of the day than what's the point of doing it? For me the answer is there is none. One person wrote this advice I will now paraphrase, "...do that which one sings to you". I will try to follow that.
